Arsenal are considering a move for Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano who is unhappy at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Arsene Wenger is lining the Adriano as a back-up for Theo Walcott who is involved in a contract dispute with the club.
The Gunners were offered Adriano in the summer and were keen but Arsene Wenger opted for Olivier Giroud instead.
Arsenal face competition from Tottenham and Liverpool, all of whom have been monitoring the 25-year-old for over a year and watched him during Shakhtar’s narrow 3-2 Champions League defeat by Chelsea last week, according to the Daily Mail (http://bit.ly/ZEXQEV).
Spurs, Manchester City and Chelsea have all shown interest in Shakhtar’s dynamic duo, Willian and Fernandinho, but a deal for Adriano could be less complex to negotiate.
