UAE Rugby announced the inaugural Eden Park Sevens Series which will be played over two Fridays on November 16 at Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence and November 23 at the Al Ain Rugby Club.

"We are particularly delighted to have their support and passion behind our new initiative, UAE Rugby Eden Park Rugby Sevens Series, which has been developed to provide the popular 7-a-side format with its own competition in UAE Rugby's domestic fixture” she added.
Friday November 16th’s series starter has been well supported by all UAE Rugby’s affiliated clubs.
Vets and Classic Sevens teams games will kick-off at 10am, followed by Women’s Sevens and the headlining Men’s Eden Park Sevens Series played concurrently at 1pm.
Only the top 2 in each pool of the Eden Park Series will qualify for the finals games, which will be played from 6.20pm through to 7.40pm.
“This series is an integral step in our strategy to develop and promote the game to a wider audience especially the growing women’s game and it will also assist in developing our Emirati player pool,” said UAE Rugby’s CEO Ian Bremner.
“We are delighted to have the support of the clubs and believe this series will also provide a them with a solid platform to maintain fitness and sharpen skills leading into the Dubai Rugby Sevens.”
